From VA to building the team you wish you hired sooner.
I didn’t start Orange Tree VA as a founder. I started as a VA.I was inside the inboxes, fixing messy workflows, handling client work, and figuring out what actually makes support helpful in real life. Over time, I moved into managing the team, training new VAs, and eventually taking over Orange Tree VA to build something that felt better for everyone involved.
What I really wanted was simple. A system clients can trust. Consistent quality without the stress. And real support that doesn’t rely on one person doing everything alone.
Yes, I have a degree in International Business, but most of what I know came from doing the work every day, learning from clients, growing the team, and making plenty of mistakes along the way.
Now, I focus on matching clients with the right VA, supporting the team, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes so no one has to chase tasks all day.
And just to say it out loud — I care a lot about the people doing the work. I try to be the kind of boss I would’ve wanted as a VA: flexible, clear, and human. When the team feels supported, the work naturally gets better.
Outside of work, I genuinely can’t function without music on. I love food, a good meal makes everything better, and hōjicha is always my go-to. That balance matters to me, and I try to build Orange Tree VA in a way that leaves room for real life too.
Fun facts:
Accidental founder. Built this by doing, not just studying. Can’t work without music on. Food lover. Hōjicha always.

Quietly keeping the wheels turning (and genuinely enjoying it)
I’m basically that friend who brings Band-Aids, snacks, and a phone charger to every hangout, just in case. That’s kind of my whole vibe as a VA too. I like being the person who has the thing handled before it becomes a thing.
I’m a learn-by-doing type. Give me a new tool or system and I’ll happily spend way too much time poking around until I figure out how it works. It’s like a puzzle, but one that actually makes my life easier afterward (win-win!)
Being an “orange” in the Orange Tree family has been pretty great, honestly. The team actually has each other’s backs. It’s not just nice words on a website, there’s real support here, solid systems that make sense, and people who genuinely care about doing good work. That kind of environment makes it so much easier to show up fully for clients.
Fun facts: Runs best after a good meal. Finds comfort in organizing things. Gets oddly excited about trying new tools.

Chaos Coordinator (in the best way!)
I’m someone who genuinely lights up when things just click - when the chaos settles and everything flows. I support creators and business owners with the behind-the-scenes magic: organizing inboxes, planning content, research, and keeping social media on track.
My goal? Making your days feel lighter and way less overwhelming. Social is where my heart is. Captions, content planning, keeping all the moving pieces organized. I’m detail-oriented, easy to work with, and I thrive on structure that actually makes life easier (not harder).
Fun fact: I get genuinely giddy over a clean plan or tidy system. It’s the little things. ✨

From part-time VA to finding the work that truly fits
I really believe in the idea that everything happens for a reason. About 2 years ago, I was introduced to Orange Tree VA through a friend, and in a very Orange Tree–style twist, it turned out we were all connected in the most unexpected way. I started off as a part-time VA, supporting one or two clients at a time, never imagining this would become the role I’d grow into long-term.
Over time, as I began supporting more clients across different niches and countries, I realized how much I genuinely enjoy this work. I’m naturally drawn to creating structure, organizing workflows, and helping people feel less overwhelmed by their day-to-day lives. There’s something deeply satisfying about knowing a client can breathe easier, have more time for themselves, and feel supported because the behind-the-scenes things are taken care of.
I support clients not just with creator or business tasks, but also with the small, personal things that quietly add up and take mental space. My goal is simple: to make life feel lighter, more organized, and a little less stressful. Being able to do that while working with a team that values empathy, clarity, and trust is what makes Orange Tree VA feel like home to me.
Fun fact: I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Strategy and Ideation, which explains why I love turning chaos into clear plans (and why organizing things feels weirdly fun to me) 😜

Finding confidence, clarity, and a place to grow
I found Orange Tree VA through a close friend who later became the boss of OTVA, and honestly, watching her journey was what first inspired me to explore the VA role seriously. At the time, I was still a university student, feeling a bit lost and struggling to find a place that offered both room to grow and a truly professional working environment.
Joining OTVA gave me that balance. I was able to learn in real time, take on real responsibility, and slowly build confidence in my skills. What started as curiosity quickly turned into something I genuinely enjoy doing every day.
In my role, I support creators and businesses with brand outreach, script polishing, and keeping workflows organized so things don’t feel overwhelming. I love helping turn scattered ideas into clear pitches and systems that actually work. Beyond creator support, I’m also involved in recruitment and employer branding, helping us find the right people and build a team culture that feels supportive and human.
My goal is simple: to make things easier for the people I work with, bring good energy to the team, and keep everything moving smoothly behind the scenes.
Fun fact: I love brand hunting and pitching. There’s something oddly satisfying about sending the right email and knowing a “yes” could be just one reply away.

Be kind. Be true. Be you.
Before joining the Orange Tree team, I supported two startups (tech + F&B) across marketing, email management, influencer coordination, operations, and content creation. Basically, wearing all the hats. I know what it feels like when your to-do list never ends, and the behind-the-scenes tasks quietly pile up. That’s why I work like a good listener first: I take time to understand what you’re juggling, what’s stressing you out, and what “support” actually looks like for you.
I’m a reliable problem-solver who loves turning messy workflows into simple systems. I follow through and keep you updated so you never have to wonder where things stand. Whether it’s business tasks, creator support, or the small personal things that take up mental space, my goal is always the same: to create calm, clarity, and breathing room.
Being part of the Orange Tree family has genuinely warmed my heart: the organized systems, real support, and a culture that cares about doing great work and protecting our health. That means I can show up for clients with steady energy, clear communication, and thoughtful support.
Fun facts: the oldest night owl of Orange Tree 🌙 • food lover + honest reviewer 🍜 • I paint food in watercolor 🎨

Bringing order to the edit (with a hint of hidden chaos)
I’m the one behind the scenes at Orange Tree VA, handling everything from filtering raw footage to crafting polished social media clips. Coming from a background in non-profit communications and events in Vietnam, I’ve learned that the best creativity happens within a solid system. Video editing was a skill I sharpened along the way, and it eventually became my favorite way to communicate.
I am a firm believer in structured systems—I find that I work most effectively when there is a complete, objective framework in place that remains unaffected by human emotions. For me, having total clarity on who does what and exactly how it should be done is not just a preference, it’s a necessity for high-level performance.
Fun fact: I’m a huge fan of "crazy" and "rebellious" video styles. However, because I prioritize the professional image of our clients, those "chaotic" edits stay tucked away in my private drafts—waiting for the perfect moment to break out!

Chill, responsible and all about “getting done what I promise.”
I’m Jo, and I’m all about keeping promises and spreading good vibes!
I’ve been helping creators for 2.5 years with their websites, posts, and outreach. I love my job because I get to clear the path for you to create freely. I’m here to be a steady, trusted friend who just ‘gets it handled.’
P.S. As a design lover, I’m happiest when a workspace is perfectly organized. I’d love for our paths to cross and to help your day run smoothly!
Fun fact: I’m a huge design nerd and I’m secretly obsessed with keeping my workspace perfectly clean and organized.

Good working relationships are built on sisterhood here, and that’s why i love OTVA
I’m a fresher Virtual Assistant who genuinely enjoys working as a “supporting layer” behind the scenes. I like taking care of the small details so clients can focus their energy on the bigger picture and strategic parts of their work. There’s something very meaningful to me about knowing that what I do helps someone’s day feel a little smoother and lighter.
In the way I work, I’m careful, reliable, and open to learning. I value clear communication, simple systems. I like structure, but I’m also flexible when things change. My goal is not just to finish tasks, but to help create a sense of calm so the people I work with can feel more supported, organized, and at ease in their day-to-day work.
Fun fact: I have 5 years of social media experience, but I still can’t “just do it quickly.” I treat client work the same way I treat my own social media account: it has to feel right before it’s done!!

Give 200% so you’ll have nothing to regret.
I’m a fresher VA at OTVA, currently on a learning journey with all the amazing girls here. From my very first training sessions, I was genuinely wow-ed by how professional and well-organized everyone is. The trainings were super detailed and covered so many topics, from brand outreach to content creation. In just two weeks, I learned so much more than I expected.
Even though I’m new to the VA world, I already have nearly one year of experience in marketing and social media. This helps me better understand what clients are looking for and how content creation works. Now, as a “supporter” at OTVA, I’m learning by doing - handling daily tasks, assisting the team, and slowly building my skills step by step. My working style is to always plan ahead instead of rushing at the last minute, because I believe that’s the best way to handle unexpected issues calmly. My personal motto is: “Give 200% so you’ll have nothing to regret.”
And with this journey at OTVA, I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and becoming better every day.
Fun fact: I can’t start my day without checking social media – it’s both my habit and a must-do for a marketer to keep up with trends
